Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
In a large bowl, combine apple sauce, chocolate extract, butter and chocolate mix until well incorporated.
In another bowl, stir the oat bran, oat flour and baking powder until well blended.
Combine the chocolate mixture with flour mixture. And then, add in eggs gradually and whisk it well.
Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
Place into the preheated oven and bake it for 30 to 40 minutes.
Cool in the pan for 5 to 10 minutes, and then turn the cakes out onto a rack to cool completely.
